Most Holy Trinity Church is seeking an interim organist to provide coverage for weekend liturgies:
- Saturday vigil mass at 4 pm
- Sunday masses at 7:30 am & 10:30 am
- Sunday mass in Spanish at 12:15 pm
In addition to weekend masses, the interim organist will be invited to play for both weddings and funerals with right of refusal. Compensation is $150 per mass for playing, only, and $200 for playing and singing. Candidates should have knowledge of performing on a two manual Steer and Turner Tracker organ.
Additional responsibilities include (1) programming for weekend liturgies in accordance with the scripture, (2) providing/performing music for the weekend liturgies – including a prelude and postlude, (3) preparing the adult chancel choir to perform for one mass on Sunday morning, (4) collaborating with/preparing cantors to perform for select liturgies, (5) engaging instrumentalists for additional musical accompaniment on Holy Feast days/celebrations including Christmas and Easter.
The music area is located in the loft of the church and candidates would have to use stairs to access this space. The selected candidate for this position would be held in consideration for the permanent role of music director.
